The Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP), a government owned and controlled corporation, was founded in 1969 to preserve, develop and promote Philippine arts and culture locally and internationally. A home to all artists and cultural workers, CCP houses nine resident companies which presents a regular season of productions, workshops and outreach programs in music, dance, theater, visual arts, literature, cinema and design. CCP lives up to its mission to make art matter in the life of every Filipino.

The CCP’s regular partner in the field of visual arts is the Association of Pinoyprintmakers (AP), previously known as the Printmakers Association of the Philippines or PAP. AP has been working closely with the CCP Visual Arts and Museum Division under the Production and Exhibition Department, for more than 20 years. PAP had the Third Annual Graphic Arts Competition exhibition in the CCP as early as 1970. Since then, CCP has been supporting PAP’s efforts and initiatives to promote printmaking as an art form and to be present in the printmaking scene locally and internationally. In 1997, CCP provided PAP with a printmaking studio at the back of the Folk Arts Theater, which houses the printmakers group to this day. Many collaborative projects have followed since.

In 2014, CCP and AP collaborated on the “25@45 Print Folio”, which was compiled in celebration of the 45th Anniversary of the CCP. In 2018, CCP celebrated five decades of the Printmakers Association through the exhibition "TIRADA: 50 Years of Philippine Printmaking 1968-2018." This year, CCP and AP announced the production of the “20/30 Limited Print Portfolio” in commemoration of the Center's 50th anniversary. CCP continues to partner with AP through regular programs such as annual exhibitions, demo’s at the CCP Pasinaya Festival, workshops, and studio visits with guest artists, curators and cultural workers.
